Chartplotter Backing Box

A two-part box that protects the back of a flush-mounted chartplotter. The collar sits on the chartplotter's own mounting studs; the box clips onto it and pulls off by hand for servicing.

Take these from the flush-mount template that came with your chartplotter (or its installation manual). All sizes in millimetres.

Mounting holes

The bolt and screw holes on your template. The collar goes over them, under the nuts. Positions are from the centre of the cut-out: X to the right, Y up. Drag a hole on the drawing to move it.

Layout

Hole size is the size of the hole on the template (for example 6 for a 6 mm bolt hole). The collar's holes are 0.5 mm bigger. Nut size is the widest part of the nut, thumb nut or washer.
